The Trust is a family of five academies in the West Midlands; three secondary schools, and two primaries. They have a shared ethos, common values, and collective goals, and they use one fully-integrated reward scheme.
To celebrate and reward the achievements of its students the trust has set up 'TG Rewards' which uses School Stickers’ Carrot Rewards and MyStickers technology across the schools within the trust. The scale of the scheme is impressive, generating healthy competition, extra motivation, and helping to forge a common identity.
We've created over a hundred different types of stickers, postcards, certificates and badges for Tudor Grange which provides a wide variety of rewards for every subject and skill type including different members of staff such as head teachers, support staff and subject staff.
We made sure our rewards fitted in with the ethos, values and branding of the trusts institutions.
Sticker that have been rewarded are put into student's planners and the pupils are then able to log their points online using MyStickers. This enables them to buy exclusive TG Rewards merchandise including things such as prom tickets.. When pupils reach a certain number of stickers they're rewarded a badge to wear on their blazer which signifies their achievements and reinforces their pride.
All rewards logged into MyStickers are automatically shown in the school’s Carrot Rewards account, enabling teachers to monitor everything; from how each year-group, subject, or class is progressing, to each individual student.
School Stickers has worked closely with the Trust to make it possible for the up-to-the-minute Carrot Reward results to be publicly shown on screens around each school, driving students to want to earn more rewards. This shows not only how each academy is performing, but also in comparison to each other.
There are two ways which protect against the reward system being devalued. The first is that the trust has established clear rules and guidelines from what rewards should be given out for, to how many stickers teachers can give out in each class.
The Carrot Rewards portal also safeguards the integrity of the scheme, making it easy for all teachers to see what is being rewarded, and quickly exposing any anomalies. The whole reward system is really simple and easy to use, even when used across a number of different academies.
The Trust now credits TG Rewards, one of its most successful innovations, as playing a crucial role in the outstanding Ofsted results it now achieves. This is particularly impressive, given that one of the schools brought into the group was classed as a failing school placed in special measures when it was taken over, with major issues with student behaviour and low morale.
Steven Groutage, COO, Tudor Grange Academies Trust said:
“School Stickers is incredibly good value, the online tools and rewards are incredibly flexible, and we have really been able to make it our own. Our students work incredibly hard and love to collect the variety of stickers and postcards available. The combination of School Stickers and the Carrot Rewards platform is a winning combination.”
